About Ian McCausland
Even after 30 years of working as photographer I am still so very passionate about what I do. In fact I may be more excited these days that the films day. The tools we now have to tell the stories with is vast and amazing. I still get a thrill seeing my images used in great design in print, online and elsewhere
There are three core values that fuel my passion for photography:
Curiosity Collaboration and Connection
I bring a certain curiosity to any project. I want to learn, to listen, to find out what's needed. I ask questions, I read the story, I do the research, before I photograph.
Wether it's with a graphic designer, an art director, an account rep or even the subject themselves, the creation of my images is ultimately a collaborative process. I enjoy working with other creative people in finding solutions.
Truly connecting is what it’s all about. In this world crowded of images I try and create images that show that connection. As much as I love photography, I love connecting with people foremost.
